An Opportunity to Meet and Hear
CONGRESSMAN JERROLD NADLER
Chairman, House Judiciary Committee
Monday, November 11, 2019
11:00am-Noon
Roosevelt House, 47-49 East 65th St.
(between Park and Madison Avenues)
It is our pleasure and honor to welcome back an important member of the House of Representatives: New York’s own Jerrold Nadler (D-NY-10), who will visit Roosevelt House on Monday, November 11, to discuss his current priorities as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee. Rep. Nadler will focus on the Committee’s legislative agenda. He assumed the role of Chair after the Democrats took control of the House of Representatives in January 2019; prior to that, he was Ranking Member. As Chair, he has pursued one of the most ambitious legislative agendas ever before the House Judiciary Committee: overseeing the passage of bills to strengthen our gun laws, reform our criminal justice system, protect the right to vote and access to the ballot box, ensure equal anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ individuals, create a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers, end forced arbitration for workers, and lower prescription drug costs, among many other accomplishments—all while carrying out a robust oversight agenda aimed at holding the Trump Administration accountable for threats to our democracy and Constitution. A question and answer session will follow.
